Books have been set forth on this matter, and the bickering and disagreement about where the "hot" slot machine games are located in the casino are still on-going - over sixty years after slots were first placed in casinos.

The traditional rule is that the most favorable slot games were positioned just inside the entry of the casino; so that people going by would be able to see real jackpot winners and be titillated to come into the casino and play. Our slant is that this is no longer true.

Many of the mega casinos presently are monstrous complexes and it's no longer possible to see inside from the sidewalk, so there's no longer a reason to place the 'loose' slot machines near to any entrances.

Yet another standard rule is that loose slots are put on the major aisles in the casinos, again so that more people could see winning jackpots and be influenced to play. However, we find that this also isn't a universal rule any more.

And the very last thing a casino wants is for someone to win a jackpot by playing only a few coins and then not stay to put it all back in!
